A hidden gem nestled in nature, Longwood Gardens is the passion project of Yvonne & Peter Long. What was once a simple horse paddock has blossomed into a breathtaking 3.5-acre garden, thanks to years of dedication and care.
The Story Behind the Beauty
In 2000, while their home was under construction, Yvonne & Peter were already busy planning and planting their dream garden. The land, originally covered with just 15 pine trees, was transformed into a lush sanctuary with vibrant flowers, towering trees, and peaceful walkways.
With hands-on involvement in every detail, Yvonne even learned to operate heavy machinery to help shape the landscape. She personally dug the pond and built raised garden beds, ensuring every part of Longwood Gardens reflected their vision.
Today, Longwood Gardens stands as a testament to their love for nature and serves as a serene escape for visitors looking to explore, relax, and appreciate the beauty of a well-crafted garden.
The Gardener
Peter & Yvonne love gardening, Peter doing the heavy tasks and taking care of the lawns while Yvonne content to pull weeds and take care of the roses. Peter often arriving home with several new plants without a clue where they will fit in and Yvonne juggling to find a new home for the new arrivals.
